Here are some answers to our most frequently asked questions.
Do you serve breakfast?
We do not serve breakfast, although a breakfast basket can be reserved in advance.
All our self-catering apartments, the hostel, and cabins come with fully equipped kitchens so you can prepare your own meals. There is a shop just next-door or you can buy groceries while passing through Selfoss or a neighboring town.
What is check-in and check-out time?
Check-in is from 4:00 PM-9:00 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be available on request — just let us know in advance!
What if I arrive after 9:00 PM?
Please let us know if you will be arriving after 21:00. You will still be able to access your apartment or dormitory, no matter what time it is, but we will send you self-check-in instructions.
Do you have Wi-Fi?

How do I get to you?
It’s easy to reach us if you have your own transportation. We’re just 45 minutes by car from Rekjavík or just over one hour from the airport.
If you are using public transportation, please be aware that the service is very limited, especially on Sundays and holidays. You will have to plan your trip very carefully. See the schedule for the free bus service between Eyrarbakki, Stokkseyri and Selfoss.
Are pets allowed?
We love animals, but unfortunately we do not allow pets in our accommodation at this time.
Is parking available?
Yes! Free parking is available for all our guests, right on site.
Can I book for a large group?
Absolutely! We welcome families, friends, and group travelers. Just get in touch, and we can help arrange multiple rooms or apartments to fit your group comfortably.
What local activities are nearby?
There’s plenty to do! Enjoy horse riding, kayaking, ATV tours, or explore local sights in Eyrarbakki. For those staying in our Golden Circle cabins, you’re less than an hour away from geysers, waterfalls, and volcanic landscapes. See more here.
Do you offer linens and towels?
Yes! All beds are made with fresh linens, and towels are provided for your stay.
